Teachers will engage in developing an understanding of how to effectively incorporate the use of first person testimony when teaching the Holocaust. Additionally, they will consider the points of intersection between the Holocaust and the Jim Crow South era. Educators will explore how to teach the connections between the universal lessons of the two time periods that are applicable to understanding contemporary events.
