John Kenney is the New York Times bestselling author of two novels and four books of poetry, including Talk to Me, Love Poems for Married People, Love Poems for The Office, and Love Poems for Anxious People. His first novel, Truth In Advertising, won the Thurber Prize for American Humor. A longtime contributor to The New Yorker, he lives in Larchmont, New York, with his wife and two children. Kenney’s next book, 74Words, a memoir about a son’s very late attempt to rewrite his mother’s obituary, will be published in Spring 2027 with a preview excerpt appearing in the paperback edition of I See You’ve Called in Dead.
