Please join the Queens Art Department and the Charlotte Alumni Association for the exhibition opening and a panel discussion between the artists, art historians, and curators of the "Voices of Democracy: Exploring the Ideal" exhibition open at Queens University from September 15 - December 15, 2024. We recommend that you register by September 9th as space is limited.
A dialogue between artists, art historians, and curators on the elusive theme of democracy, exploring historical and global perspectives, and underscoring the pivotal role of art in human expression.
The exhibition, Voices of Democracy: Exploring the Ideal, is part of the Connected Campus, an annual series of curated, public events spearheaded by the arts, to cultivate multidisciplinary perspectives, collaboration, and scholarship across campus and in the community.
Among the global and historical voices included in this exhibition are those of South African William Kentridge, African American Jacob Lawrence, Vietnamese American MyLoan Dinh, and Frenchman Felix Vallotton.
